Overview
A creative is the image or video used in your ads. This dashboard shows how each of your creatives perform on Meta or TikTok. You choose which channel to view at the top of the page.
Each creative has numbers from two sources. Spend, impressions, clicks and video views come from Meta or TikTok. Orders, revenue, ROAS and CAC come from Tracify and depend on the attribution preset you have selected.
There are two views. Comparison lists all your creatives in a table and lets you compare selected ones in a chart. Individual Analysis shows each creative as a card.
How creatives are grouped
Each row is one creative with one ad name. When several ads use the same image or video and have the same name, Tracify combines them into one row and adds up their spend, orders and revenue. The number of ads appears under the name, for example "3 Ads".
When ads use the same image or video but have different names, each name gets its own row, so you may see the same preview more than once.
Where the creative name comes from
The name is the ad name from Meta or TikTok. Tracify tidies it a little so that duplicated ads end up in the same row:
"Copy", "Kopie", "Copie" or "Copia" at the end of a name is removed, along with any number after it. "Summer Sale - Copy 2" becomes "Summer Sale".
Slashes (/) and colons (:) are replaced with spaces.
If you rename an ad, the new name shows up the next time Tracify updates your ad information, usually within a day. The new name is used for the ad's whole history, including past dates. Because the name decides how ads are grouped, renaming an ad can move it into a different row, or out of a row it shared with other ads.
Tracify only updates the names of active ads. If you rename an ad after pausing it, the dashboard keeps the name it had while it was active.
Which creatives are included
There is no limit on the number of creatives. The dashboard includes every creative from your connected ad accounts that has an image or video, and you can page through all of them. The count at the bottom of the table covers every creative that matches your filters, not only the current page.
Creatives with no activity in the selected period are still listed. When you sort by a metric such as spend, they appear at the end.
Ads without an image or video are not shown, and their spend and results are left out of the totals. That is why total spend here can be lower than on the Marketing Overview. See Why do my channel totals differ between dashboards? for more.
New ads usually appear within a day.
Comparison view
The Comparison view has a chart at the top and a table of all your creatives below it.
The table
Click a column header to sort by that metric. Creatives are sorted by spend, highest first, until you choose otherwise.
Choose how many creatives to show per page (10, 25, 50, 100 or 200) and move between pages at the bottom of the table.
Use the column selector to choose which metrics appear. Meta has extra columns, such as link clicks, video views, average watch time and thumbstop rate.
The totals row adds up every creative that matches your filters, across all pages.
Click a thumbnail to open a larger preview. You can play videos in the preview.
The chart
Tick the checkboxes next to up to 8 creatives to add them to the chart.
Pick two metrics to compare, for example Ad Spend and Revenue. The total for your selected creatives appears above each one.
The bar chart shows each creative's total for the period. The line chart shows each creative over time.
When you change the page, sorting, filters or date range, the selection goes back to the first creative in the table.
Exporting
Click the download button above the table to export a CSV file. It contains every creative that matches your filters and date range, with all available metrics, sorted by revenue.
Individual Analysis view
Each card shows the creative's preview, its name, the number of ads and the metrics you choose.
Use Metrics to pick up to 10 metrics for the cards.
Use Sort by to order the cards by any of those metrics, highest or lowest first.
Move between pages at the bottom to see all your creatives.
Filters
Filters narrow down which creatives appear. You can filter by ad name (contains or does not contain), by creative format (image or video), and by ad spend, revenue, orders, impressions, ROAS, CTR, CAC or CPO (greater or less than a value). You can combine conditions, and click
Save filter to reuse a filter later from Saved filters.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit to how many creatives are shown?
No. Every creative with an image or video is included, and you can page through all of them in both views.
Where does the creative name come from, and what happens when I edit it?
It is the ad name from Meta or TikTok, with endings such as "- Copy" removed. A new name appears within about a day and is also used for past dates.
Which channels are supported?
Meta and TikTok.
Why is total spend lower here than on the Marketing Overview?
Ads without an image or video are not included, so their spend is not counted.
Why don't I see an ad I just launched?
New ads usually appear within a day. If one still does not appear, check that it has an image or video.
Why does the same image appear in more than one row?
The ads share an image or video but have different ad names, and each name gets its own row.
