Prerequisites

  1. Your product costs are administrated within Shopify

  2. You have added your cost blocks inside settings

The Profit & Loss Dashboard provides an in-depth look into your business's financial performance, breaking down revenues, costs, and margins to give you a clear picture of profitability.

1. Top-Level Overview

Provides a high-level summary of key financial metrics like net revenue and contribution margins, offering a quick snapshot of business profitability.

  • Net Revenue: Calculated as Gross Revenue minus taxes and returns.

  • Contribution Margins: The calculation method and detailed explanations are accessible via a hover over the information ("i") icon.

2. Key Driver Metrics

Breaks down revenue and costs for new and returning customers, along with important metrics like COGS, AOV, and refunds.

  • The explanation and calculation methods for key metrics like New Customer Net Revenue, AOV, COGS, and more can be viewed by hovering over the "i" icon next to each metric.

3. Detailed Profit & Loss Table

Offers detailed insight into gross merchandise value, discounts, shipping, taxes, and returns, with the option to view data by day, month, or total.

  • For a more granular view, the dashboard allows you to choose how the breakdown is displayed: daily, monthly, or on a total basis. Further explanations and methods are also available via the "i" icons.

  • In the top right corner, you find the option to export the data (.csv-file).
